SDS Translation for Chemical Importers & Distributors
Your overseas supplier's SDS is rarely compliant as-is. We translate and reformat imported SDS into CLASS 2013 or SS 586-ready documents, so the compliance gap doesn't become your liability.

Pricing FromImporters inherit compliance obligations the moment a hazardous chemical crosses the border — an accurate, GHS-aligned SDS in the source language does not satisfy CLASS 2013's bilingual requirement or SS 586's local formatting. We translate, restructure into the correct 16-section format, and reconcile supplier documentation with local classification rules, including cases where you're blending or repackaging products from multiple suppliers under one SKU. If you're also handling chemical inventory reporting, see our CIMS Reporting Guide, or browse all industries we serve.
People Also Ask
Can I use a supplier's overseas SDS as-is?
No. Malaysia's CLASS 2013 requires bilingual (Bahasa Malaysia + English) SDS, and Singapore's SS 586 requires the current 16-section GHS format — a foreign-language or outdated-format SDS won't satisfy either on its own.
Who is responsible for SDS compliance — importer or manufacturer?
The importer. Once a hazardous chemical is brought into Malaysia or Singapore, local compliance obligations sit with the importer, regardless of what the overseas manufacturer originally provided.
How do I handle SDS for a product blended from multiple suppliers?
The blended or repackaged product needs its own GHS classification and SDS reflecting the combined mixture — not just the individual source SDS documents stapled together.
Does private-labelling a product change SDS requirements?
Yes — a private-label product is treated as a distinct supplied chemical, so its SDS should reflect the private-label identity and your company as the responsible supplier where required.
What if my supplier's SDS is outdated?
We flag outdated classifications or missing sections during your Free SDS Assessment and translate against current GHS and CLASS 2013/SS 586 requirements, not the supplier's original edition.
